User task actions
The following operations are available for a user task :
- assign — assign the task to a user
- claim — assign the task to yourself (claim)
- unassign — remove the task assignee
- complete — complete the task
When the complete operation is performed, a request that completes the task is sent to the process engine.
The list of available actions is built from the process model and the instance’s active elements; the active-element list is read from secondary storage. Immediately after a task is created it may not be indexed yet — in that case actions on the task are temporarily hidden and appear on the next access. Escalation execution itself is a command to the engine and is not subject to this delay.
